About the Job
Key Responsibilities
Financial Governance & Strategic Oversight
- Lead the comprehensive financial management of overseas business units, spearheading the design and optimization of financial reporting frameworks and internal control processes.
- Ensure all financial activities adhere to International Financial Reporting Standards and the specific tax and regulatory requirements of Hong Kong and Taiwan.
- Establish and maintain robust financial risk early-warning mechanisms to safeguard the company’s assets and reputation across regional markets.
Accounting Operations & Regional Compliance
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting function, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and general ledger management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Define and implement regional tax strategies and customs compliance protocols, managing the complexity of cross-border transactions and local filings.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and external consultants to ensure seamless compliance and the implementation of audit recommendations.
Treasury & Capital Management
- Orchestrate regional cash flow management, cross-border settlements, and foreign exchange exposure strategies.
- Optimize capital structure and cash pool management to enhance liquidity efficiency while mitigating risks related to currency volatility and bad debt.
Leadership & Cross-Regional Collaboration
- Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing regional finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.
- Drive synergy between Group Headquarters and local finance teams, standardizing work flows and performance metrics to enhance overall organizational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Obtained professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or an equivalent internationally recognized certification.
- Minimum of 8 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years specifically dedicated to overseas business management or cross-border financial oversight.
- Proven track record in a leadership role within a multinational corporation, with a strong preference for candidates from the luxury retail or prestige consumer goods sectors.
- Experienced in International Financial Reporting Standards and a deep understanding of the specific tax, customs, and financial regulations governing the Hong Kong and Taiwan regions.
- Advanced technical proficiency in SAP or similar large-scale ERP systems.
- Full professional fluency in English and Mandarin, with the ability to lead meetings and produce high-level reporting for Hong Kong-based stakeholders and international partners.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, with a rigorous approach to financial risk prevention and complex problem-solving.
- Flexibility to adapt to cross-time zone work requirements and a willingness to travel within the region as necessary.
- Profound understanding of the business culture and commercial environments unique to the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets.
