Assistant Manager, Social Impact

About the Job

The Assistant Manager, Social Impact (Volunteer & Engagement) will support the planning, management and administration of the Group’s social impact initiatives in Hong Kong, with a primary focus on managing the Hong Kong Volunteer Team and Charity Sports Team. The role drives volunteer recruitment, engagement, promotion, recognition and volunteer hours tracking, while providing event, project and departmental administrative support.

 

Key Responsibilities

Volunteer & Charity Sports Team Management

  • Manage and coordinate the Hong Kong Volunteer Team and Charity Sports Team.
  • Plan, organise and deliver volunteer and sports-based charity activities with NGOs and internal stakeholders.
  • Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, briefings and on-site coordination.

 

Engagement, Promotion & Recognition

  • Promote volunteer activities through internal communications and engagement initiatives.
  • Support volunteer recognition schemes, awards and appreciation events.
  • Coordinate volunteer recognition ceremonies, charity bazaars and engagement activities.

 

Volunteer Hours & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation and service hours.
  • Prepare summaries and reports for internal reporting and sustainability disclosures.
  • Support administration of volunteer leave and incentive schemes.

 

Event, Project & Department Support

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for social impact events and projects.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, briefing notes and post event reports.
  • Handle departmental administration, including documentation, budget tracking and coordination across business units.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Event Management, Business Administration or related disciplines.
  • 4–6 years’ relevant experience in social impact, CSR, NGO, volunteer management or event coordination.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills; able to manage multiple activities.
  • Detail oriented, proactive and hands on, with good stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua preferred).
  • Passion for community engagement and volunteerism.
