Assistant Manager, Tax

About the Job

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for tax accounting, corporate tax and transfer pricing reporting and advisory in Hong Kong and Asia
  • Prepare and review current and deferred tax accounting and provisions in month- and year-end closing, tax notes for financial statements and tax compliance for the Group’s global presence;
  • Manage and review transfer pricing documentations and BEPS compliance submissions for the Group, and maintain accurate records for tax accounting and compliance purposes.
  • Support tax advisory projects, including but not limited to tax process improvement and system migration, project implementation, operation and agreements review and response to queries from tax authorities and auditors; perform ad-hoc assignments as required.

 

Requirements

  • University graduate with major in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • Member of HKICPA/ACCA/CPA Australia or related professional qualifications  (student members who have completed all exams may also be considered)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in tax accounting or related roles, preferably from Big Four, second-tier firms, or sizable corporations; demonstration of knowledge in tax accounting and transfer pricing principles
  • Able to work independently and as a team, self-motivated and quick learner with efficient communication skills, problem-solving skills and able to work under pressure
  • Good command in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
  • Occasional travel to China is required.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP/EAS is an advantage
