About the Job
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of CTF's Corporate Finance and Internal Control functions. S/he will be responsible for developing a strategic plan to optimize the productivity of the Corporate Finance teams. Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, supervising staff, creating a highly motivational work environment and implementing innovative changes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Vision, and Leadership
• Advise the CFO and senior management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities and policy issues.
• Contribute to the development of CTF's strategic goals and objectives and the overall management of the organisation.
• Represent the organisation externally as required, in particular in banking and lease negotiations.
• Advise the CFO and senior management on compliance and internal control matters.
Team Development/Leadership
• Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
• Set and monitor staff performance and development objectives, assigning responsibilities, setting objectives, establishing priorities, conducting annual performance appraisals and administering salary adjustments.
• Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assigning responsibilities, setting objectives, establishing priorities and monitoring and evaluating results.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including board members, senior management, department heads and regulatory bodies.
Operations
• Supervise, direct and organise the work of the corporate finance and internal control teams.
• Assist the CFO with financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
• Oversee the financial reporting and accounting functions and ensure financial analysis to maintain an ongoing understanding of the company's financial position.
• Perform analytical reviews and provide financial modelling and analysis services to functional leaders to support business planning and decision making, while balancing business opportunities and associated risks.
• Develop and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards and procedures to monitor the company's revenues, expenses and investment plan.
• Manage the financial activities of an organisation to maximise profits and plan for growth.
• Evaluate key financial management tools and recommend appropriate interventions in line with further business requirements.
• Collaborate and partner with other business units on transformation projects to drive business initiatives and ensure that financial objectives are aligned with broader business objectives.
• Develop and implement finance technologies strategies aligned with the overall financial objectives of the company.
• Oversee the implementation of finance systems and ensure their stability, security, and effectiveness.
• Strengthen internal control and compliance in line with industry best practice and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline with a minimum of a 18 years’ progressive work experience in listed companies.
• Qualified Accountant (HKICPA, ACCA, CPAA) with solid accounting knowledge.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills with strong commercial acumen.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to support decision making and drive the financial performance of the business.
• Experience in finance systems implementation, COA design, process optimization, etc.
• Strategic thinking with a can-do attitude.
• Previous experience of working with a management team with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of ethics and integrity and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial accountability and transparency.
• Adaptable and able to cope with changing business conditions, such as market fluctuations and regulatory changes.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese & Mandarin is a must.
