About the Job
Reporting to Sustainability Director, this role will oversee sustainability communications and engagement with stakeholders as well as support the establishment of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery’s sustainability profile.
Key Responsibilities
Sustainability communications and stakeholder engagement:
- Working with Corporate Communications, develop communications strategy and tactics covering mainstream and social media to help establish CTFJ’s sustainability profile to enhance awareness and understanding of the Group’s sustainability commitments and actions by external stakeholders.
- Develop communication content for sustainability, such as narratives, corporate website and internal staff portal sustainability pages, social media posts, external stakeholder engagement initiatives. Plan and coordinate production of other communications tools such as videos to support sustainability profile establishment.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and materiality assessment. Support engagement with investors and the media, working with Investor Relations and Corporate Communications. Handle inquiries and draft feedback.
Sustainability reporting and disclosures:
- Lead preparation of the annual Sustainability Report, coordinating with different departments in data and information collection, designing report outline/structure, preparing content details/drafting report copy to ensure alignment with required/appropriate local and internal reporting standards, managing report production.
- Coordinate external assurance of report.
- Keep abreast of developments in reporting standards and key stakeholder (eg investors) expectations and ensure compliance and alignment as well as reporting quality enhancements.
Sustainability rating agency assessment:
- Manage local and international rating agency assessments including Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index, CDP, DJSI, Sustainalytics and others as required, leading/coordinating questionnaire completion process.
- Conduct gap analysis based on rating agency assessments to identify rating/score improvement areas.
- Keep abreast of global, industry and local trends and issues related to sustainability and recommend appropriate actions to contribute to improvement in reporting quality and rating results
Internal engagement and education:
- Working with Employee Engagement, develop employee communications and engagement plan and programmes and coordinate related activities for internal culture building, establishing awareness and fostering understanding and internalisation of CTFJ sustainability and helping to embed sustainability in daily operations ultimately.
- Develop contents for communications and engagement initiatives.
- Develop contents for internal education purposes such as sustainability trainings.
- Support roll-out/implementation of sustainability actions through engagement initiatives.
Requirements
- University graduates with strong written language proficiency in both Chinese and English.
- 10 years of experience or above in corporate and employee communications, with 4 years or above focusing on sustainability communications and engagement as well as reporting and external ESG ratings/assessments.
- Depth of experience and working knowledge in sustainability reporting/disclosures and rating agency assessments such as DJSI, CDP, Sustainalytics and Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index, with demonstration of extensive knowledge in ESG disclosure standards such as IFRS, TCFD, ISSB and GRI.
- Work experience with multinational or local listed companies in the manufacturing sector or from the consultancy side.
- Excellent Chinese and English language proficiency especially writing skills a must, with above-average Putonghua proficiency.
- In-depth work experience and knowledge in all aspects of Sustainability and sustainability reporting including local compliance requirements and international reporting standards.
- Fully abreast of global trends, issues, development and regulations in Sustainability and environmental protection.
- Working knowledge in design software, photo/video editing an advantage.
- Leadership skills in moving initiatives forward.
- Systematic project management skills.
- Good interpersonal and communications skills.
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Manager.
