Merchandise Planning Manager

About the Job

To cope with our business expansion, we are inviting passionate retail merchandising professionals to join our dynamic team.

 

Responsible for supporting and taking part in the development and execution of merchandising strategies and budgets and KPI that support the overall brand building and sales growth in Hong Kong and Macau. The Manager will be responsible for driving financial results by maximizing sales and product margin, optimizing inventory levels, managing inventory turn and Open-to-Buy through various KPI planning and demand forecasting.

 

Key Responsibilities

•    Manage, maintain, and present department financial forecast in OTB. Take appropriate action to maximize sales, profitability, and inventory productivity.
•    Create category sales plans, inventory plans, and margin goals that align with product opportunities.
•    Prepare analytical analysis and work with buyers to build appropriate assortments by store by category that fit the sales plans.
•    Collaborate with buyers on inventory and markdown management. 
•    Identify and communicate potential inventory liabilities and drive appropriate actions to resolution.
•    Provide various reports for sales and product performance and analyze performance by category by series by store and make markdown or chase recommendations.
•    Identify missed opportunities from previous seasons, opportunities for growth, and down-trending businesses.
•    Create and develop new reporting to support better forecasting, planning, budgeting and performance tracking. Assist in developing processes that build efficiencies and streamline workflow.
•    Sort out complexity and present in a strategic and conclusive way. 

 

Requirements

•    Bachelor's Degree or above.
•    8-10 years hands-on experience on demand and OTB planning in retail background in luxury retail/Jewellery/Apparel industry.
•    Strong financial and analytical planning experience.
•    Good statistical knowledge and experience in budgeting will be an advantage.
•    An independent yet collaborative team player, agile, self-starter, motivated, customer focused and results oriented.
•    An influential communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

•    Ability to manage key stakeholders across global, brands, regional and local markets thru experience and analysis.
•    Excellent leadership capabilities, strong conceptual and execution ability.
•    Creative, strategic & critical thinking, strong in planning and implementation.
•    Good command of Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
