About the Job
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Manager of Corporate Communications to join our team in Hong Kong. This pivotal role will focus on implementing corporate communication strategies, managing media relations, coordinating high-profile events, and ensuring strong written proficiency in both English and Chinese.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Implementation - Support and execute comprehensive corporate communication strategies to enhance the company’s brand image and reputation on local, national and global scales.
- External Communication and Internal Coordination – Execute communication activities, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, values, and stakeholder expectations.
- Event Planning - Plan and execute high-impact corporate and media events, such as press conferences and media tours, to elevate brand visibility and engagement.
- Media Relations - Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media contacts, journalists, stock commentators, and industry influencers to secure positive coverage and amplify brand messaging.
- Media Monitoring - Monitor media channels and industry trends, providing strategic insights and recommendations for effective communication initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all communication platforms and touchpoints.
- Content Creation - Draft and edit high-quality written key messages and content in English and Chinese for press releases, articles, social media posts, corporate videos and other communication materials, ensuring clarity and impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- 10-12 years of experience in corporate communications & financial communications, preferably within a publicly listed company. Experience in the retail or luxury industry is highly desirable.
- Agency experience in a plus.
- Possess strong media relations with HK , PRC and/or international media outlets, along with capabilities in storytelling and media pitching.
- Experience in managing large-scale events such as Results Announcement or press conference.
- Strong understanding of retail industry dynamics, consumer behavior, and market trends.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Familiar with digital communication tools, social media platforms, and contemporary integrated communication strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal skills in both English and Chinese are essential.
