The Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a trusted executive advisor and a strategic catalyst for the business. Moving beyond traditional HR operations, this role focuses on aligning human capital strategies with commercial objectives, designing a world-class employee experience, and driving organizational transformation to ensure sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering & Advisory
- Executive Partnership: Act as the primary strategic partner and trusted advisor to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives directly with the organization’s commercial goals and long-term vision.
- Organizational Design: Leverage strong business acumen to diagnose organizational challenges, anticipate future workforce needs, and deliver tailored HR solutions that drive structural efficiency and business transformation.
- Change Management: Champion and guide the business through complex organizational changes, challenging constraints constructively to drive sustainable progress.
Talent Strategy & Organizational Effectiveness
- High-Performance Culture: Transform annual HR processes (e.g., performance management, compensation planning, talent reviews) into strategic levers that foster a high-performance and high-accountability culture.
- Workforce Planning: Partner with business leaders on strategic workforce planning, succession management, and capability building to ensure a robust, future-ready talent pipeline.
- Data-Driven Consulting: Utilize workforce metrics and advanced analytics to identify talent trends, anticipate risks, and recommend actionable solutions to senior leadership.
Culture & Employee Experience
- Experience Architecture: Design and champion an impactful, end-to-end employee experience journey—reimagining everything from strategic onboarding to alumni relations—to maximize engagement and retention.
- Inclusive Leadership: Build, promote, and embed an inspiring, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture that reflects the organization's core values and strengthens its employer brand in the market.
HR Innovation & Operational Excellence
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate seamlessly with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and the broader HR function to design, pilot, and scale innovative, best-in-class HR strategies.
- Policy Governance & Optimization: Provide strategic guidance on the creation and evolution of HR processes. Identify and drive industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement and operational agility across the HR ecosystem.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of progressive HR leadership and business partnering experience in sizable, complex organizations (experience in the retail industry is highly preferred).
- Strategic Execution: Proven ability to operate seamlessly between high-level strategic design and tactical execution, balancing visionary thinking with meticulous attention to detail.
- Executive Presence: Advanced interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the confidence to constructively challenge stakeholders and influence executive decision-making.
- Analytical Acumen: Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret complex data, synthesize trends, and develop multifaceted strategic solutions.
- Collaboration & Agility: A highly collaborative, independent thinker with a proactive, "can-do" mindset. Demonstrates high emotional intelligence and strong "people sense" to navigate a dynamic matrix environment.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
