Senior Manager, Project Management

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Store Design & Project Management team. This role is pivotal in leading and managing store design, expansion and renovation projects across various locations, ensuring alignment with our Group’s growth objectives and brand standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Execute Group’s store development strategy and develop comprehensive project plans for store openings and renovations in alignment with Group’s business objectives
  • Deliver, oversee and report on overall project preparation and execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints as well as aligning with brand standards. Able to flag risks to timelines or budgets and provide alternatives accordingly
  • Ensure that all projects and maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with relevant statutory requirements and regulations
  • Develop and track all project budgets, ensuring adherence during project life cycle
  • Oversee the tendering process, ensuring fairness, transparency, and compliance with procurement policies
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms
  • Partner with Procurement function to create framework to drive cost, speed and consistency
  • Improve and create management, communication plans and processes, including leading all project planning meetings
  • Evaluate project performance upon store openings, to review and optimise timelines, and quality

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Project or Construction Management, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 12 years’ managerial experience in overseeing store design process, openings, renovation &maintenance projects, preferably in Retail industry
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources efficiently
  • Well-organized with strong sense of responsibility and integrity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage external vendors and drive performance. Understanding and experience of supplier contract management and production methods & timelines. Commercial and financial acumen to understand capex finance functions
  • Knowledge in MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD preferred
  • Good command of Cantonese, Mandarin, and English
  • Willingness to travel to Mainland China & Overseas
