About the Job
Senior Manager, Risk Management plays a key role in the effective implementation of the Group’s enterprise risk management and anti-money laundering compliance framework. Key tasks include maintaining a comprehensive risk register, developing anti-money laundering policies and training materials, and coordinating crisis preparedness drills for the business markets where the Group operates.
This role will be based in Hong Kong and required to work closely with stakeholders at the Group and business market levels.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise risk management:
- Identify, assess and evaluate key risks that may impact the achievement of the Group's strategic objectives, such as market development, reputation & branding, financial and retail operations.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register to monitor the risks identified and status of mitigation measures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies, procedures and controls.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and other factors that may impact the risk profile of the Group.
Anti-money laundering compliance:
- Develop and regularly review anti-money laundering policies and training materials for the Group and business markets.
- Perform transaction analysis and prepare regulatory reports based on the applicable legal requirements.
Crisis management:
- Develop and regularly review crisis management and business continuity documentation.
- Arrange simulations on major crisis scenarios for the Group and business units.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or relevant discipline
- Minimum 7 years of experience in risk management and/or audit discipline; preferably with some experience gained in a Big 4 firm.
- Experience in retail industry is not necessary but would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills.
- Broad knowledge of business processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Good communications, interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish strong working relationships at all levels is essential.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken Chinese and English. Fluency in Mandarin would be advantageous.
